Senior Finance Officer
Location: Suva, Fiji Office with flexibility for remote working arrangements.
Contract Period: Full-time, 3 years with the possibility of renewal
Salary: USD 32,000 per annum
The Senior Finance Officer at PICAN is a full-time role focused on managing the organisation’s financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Regional Director, the role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and donor requirements, preparing reports, managing audits, and supporting financial planning and budgeting.
The officer oversees PICAN’s financial activities, including country node funds, donor relations, and internal policy development, while leading a small finance team. This position requires strong financial expertise, experience in multi-country operations, proficiency in financial software, and a commitment to enhancing the financial sustainability and transparency of PICAN’s work.

Resource Mobilisation Consultant
Location: Fully Remote
Contract Period: Open, from date of signing until terminated by either party.
The Resource Mobilization Consultant at PICAN is a remote, commission-based role focused on identifying funding opportunities, developing high-quality proposals, and securing financial support for the organization’s climate action initiatives in the Pacific Islands. Reporting to the Regional Director, the consultant will conduct prospect research, collaborate with staff to assess needs, and create compelling funding proposals.
Key responsibilities include donor engagement, proposal development, and quarterly reporting, with an emphasis on aligning funding efforts with PICAN’s mission and ethical guidelines. Compensation is tied to a tiered commission structure, supplemented by a capped discretionary budget for approved expenses.
